Liebe auf Distanz?

A friend sent me the following article Liebe auf Distanz (well the french translation).

To summarise, to improve birth rates, Germany is considering more and more to adopt a system closer to the french one. In the french system, mothers can go back to work really fast, leaving their 3 months old babies in someone else care. Society consider that an accomplished woman should not let having kids get in the way of her career and she should/can do both. In the German system, a good mum is an at home mum. With no obligatory school until children are six, it is very difficult for mums to go back to work after having children. And even primary schools often stop at 2 pm so someone need to pick up the kids. Thus, many women chose to have only one child or none. The focus of the article is that only the positive points of the French system are presented and discussed : Mothers can go back to work. No one asked French working mums what they think and feel. After interviewing french mothers, psychologists, pediatricians, ... the authors conclude that many mums feel pressured to go back to work but would rather stay at home longer, the first year maybe. Many mums would love to have more time at home with their children and not leave them in daycare for so many hours. In many cases, they are afraid to admit it because they would not be seen as valuable to society if they  ONLY took care of their children. So not all French women think it is a perfect system.

How do I feel as a French mum in Germany? How do the mums I know here  German, French or else feel about it?

Premières fois #3 ou petits bonheurs # 1

J'avais commencé cette rubrique et je l'ai un peu oublié. oups.

C'est dommage car ça permet de se rappeler de ces premières, fois, ces petits ou grands bonheur de la semaine. D'ailleurs, je viens de découvrir ceux de Maman Mammouth et le nom de sa rubrique <3 Mes petits bonheurs de la semaine, j'adore. J'aimerai bien piquer/copier le nom. En outre, c'est court alors c'est bien.

# Papoï dit Badaboom depuis hier :-) il dit "daboom" quand il lance un objet ce qui rend le lancer même mignon aux yeux de ses parents.
La liste des mots de Papoï est donc: Atchee (même s'il ne le dit plus), Ja, Nein, Voilà et Daboom. 

# Papoï re-mange demi bar hier, chou-rouge ce soir on tient le bon bout.

# Papoï reprend le bain sans hurler. La solution : mettre son moulin à eau dans la baignoire. Ouf, je ne peux pas encore lui laver les cheveux. Mais c'est déjà pas mal.

# J'ai suivi les conseils de Seebyse pour m'habiller en fouillant dans mon placard et j'ai eu des compliments. <3

# Papoï m'a fait un bisou mouillé pour me réveiller ce matin 

Ischa Freimarkt

Writing and reading blogs made me realised two things:

If the article is too long, I am lazy and stop reading since I am a very tired mum.

I don't write so much about our life in Germany, and Bremen.

Here is an attempt at a not too long article with photos about a Bremen event. 

Do you know what the Freimarkt is? It is a Fairground with lots of very cool things to see, do and eat. It lasts two weeks in autumn. It usually starts when it gets cold although this year autumn temperature are mild and still above zero.
